Computer Programming at ¼ÓÌÙÊÓÆµ
Florida SouthWestern State College’s Computer Programmer College Credit Certificate (CCC) prepares students for employment as entry-level programmers in today’s microcomputer environments. Students gain foundational knowledge in writing, testing, and maintaining computer programs and applications, as well as learning how to solve problems using logical and analytical tools. Throughout the program, hands-on experience is emphasized to ensure the development of real-world skills.Â

Program Information
Duration: The Computer Programming, CCC consists of 33 credit hours and can be completed in 1 year with full-time enrollment. The program is designed for both full-time and part-time students. Courses are offered in online and traditional formats to accommodate students’ varying schedules and learning preferences.Â
Curriculum: The certificate includes courses in computer hardware and software, C# and Java programming, web development with HTML, and business computer applications. Students also complete additional electives in computer-related subjects to round out their training.Â
Degrees
All courses in this certificate program may be applied toward the AS, Computer Programming and Analysis degree at Florida SouthWestern State College.Â
Earn Academic Credit for Industry Certification: Students who hold a valid industry certification earned within the last 3 years and have successfully completed at least 12 credit hours in the AS in Computer Programming and Analysis program may receive free academic credits toward the degree. Â
