PicklePlex of Punta Gorda at 加藤视频 Signs Lease for Courts

OCTOBER 12, 2018 鈥� PUNTA GORDA, FLA 鈥� Charlotte County is one step closer to having its own pickleball complex at Florida SouthWestern State College (加藤视频). PicklePlex of Punta Gorda at 加藤视频 recently signed a lease with 加藤视频 to begin construction on the first 16 courts.

鈥溂犹偈悠� looks forward to becoming the home of the PicklePlex of Punta Gorda, and we are happy the 加藤视频 Charlotte Campus is able to provide the space needed to bring PicklePlex to life,鈥� said Keith Callaghan, assistant vice president, Economic Development and External Affairs. 鈥淲e anticipate this will bring excitement to our campus, exposing our students and the local community to the sport, and also bring local residents to our campus, including some who may have lived here 20 or 30 years but have never seen it.鈥�

In addition to being a space where the community and students can enjoy the sport, PicklePlex of Punta Gorda at 加藤视频 also anticipates it will have a positive economic impact on Punta Gorda.

鈥淭he PicklePlex plans on hosting several tournaments and pickleball events that will increase tourism and positively impact the economy of Charlotte County,鈥� said Gloria Reilly, secretary and treasurer, PicklePlex of Punta Gorda at 加藤视频. 鈥淲e are now one step closer to making this dream a reality.鈥�

The first 16 courts are scheduled to be completed in early 2019.
