Enjoy an Evening of Poetry with Erika Meitner at 加藤视频

SEPTEMBER 5, 2017 鈥� FORT MYERS, FLA 鈥� Poet Erika Meitner will hold a book signing and reading at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, in Building J, Room 103 (Rush Auditorium), at the Florida SouthWestern State College (加藤视频) Thomas Edison Campus, 8099 College Parkway, Fort Myers. The event is free and open to the public.
Meitner is the author of 鈥淚nventory at the All-Night Drugstore鈥� (Anhinga Press, 2003), 鈥淢akeshift Instructions for Vigilant Girls鈥� (Anhinga Press, 2011), and 鈥淚deal Cities鈥� (Harper Perennial, 2010), which was a 2009 National Poetry series winner. Her fourth book of poems, 鈥淐opia,鈥� was published by BOA Editions in 2014. Meitner鈥檚 poems have been anthologized widely, and have appeared in Ploughshares, Virginia Quarterly Review, The New York Times Magazine, The New Republic, Tin House, and elsewhere. Her books are currently available to purchase at the 加藤视频 Thomas Edison Campus Bookstore.
Meitner has received fellowships from the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Blue Mountain Center, and The MacDowell Colony, and she was a 2014-15 US-UK Fulbright Scholar in Creative Writing at the Seamus Heaney Centre for Poetry at Queen鈥檚 University Belfast. Meitner is currently an associate professor of English at Virginia Tech, where she directs the MFA program in Creative Writing.
