Poet Elizabeth A.I. Powell to Speak at 加藤视频 Charlotte Campus

OCTOBER 13, 2016 鈥� PUNTA GORDA, FLA 鈥� The Peace River Center for Writers presents a reading by award-winning poet Elizabeth A.I. Powell at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, in Building O, Room 117, at the 加藤视频 Charlotte Campus, 26300 Airport Rd., Punta Gorda. The reading is free and open to the public.
Powell听is the author of "The Republic of Self" a New Issue First Book Prize winner, selected by C.K. Williams. Her second book of poems, 鈥淲illy Loman鈥檚 Reckless Daughter: Living Truthfully Under Imaginary Circumstances鈥� won the 2015 Anhinga Robert Dana Prize, selected by Maureen Seaton. Her poetry has appeared in the听Pushcart Prize Anthology 2013,听Alaska Quarterly Review,听Barrow Street,听Ecotone,听Harvard Review,听Indiana Review,听Missouri Review,听Mississippi Review,听Slope,听Sugarhouse Review,听Ploughshares,听笔辞蝉迟听搁辞补诲,听Zocalo Public Square, and elsewhere.
Powell is editor of听Green Mountains Review and Associate Professor of Creative Writing at Johnson State College. She also serves on the faculty of the low-residency MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and the Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA in Writing and Publishing.
