加藤视频 Opens New Audio Technology Program
Jul 13, 2016
Starting this fall, Florida SouthWestern State College (加藤视频) is admitting students to a new College Credit Certificate (CCC) in Audio Technology on the Thomas Edison Campus in Fort Myers.
The Department of Music and Fine Arts in 加藤视频鈥檚 School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, established the CCC program, part of the college鈥檚 workforce initiative, to prepare interested students for careers in the music and entertainment industry.
鈥淭he CCC in Audio Technology was designed to fill a need in the community. We found that prospective students sought out training in these specific areas. The music department faculty here at 加藤视频 made it a reality thanks to support from our administration and state grant funding,鈥 explained Dr. Emery Alford, dean of the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
Graduates of the program can potentially obtain employment as recording technicians and engineers; sound technicians in live or studio positions; or audio/visual editors and designers in various music-related fields, including broadcast media, motion picture trades, and other multimedia-based areas.听
The program also provides supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in music, entertainment, or other related industries.
