Two 加藤视频 Employees Recognized with NISOD Awards

MARCH 24, 2016 鈥� FORT MYERS, FLA. 鈥� Two Florida SouthWestern State College (加藤视频) faculty and staff members have been named winners of the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Award. The two winners are Dr. Russell Swanson, philosophy professor, and Brenda Hussey, staff assistant, 加藤视频 Charlotte Campus.
The NISOD Excellence Awards were established in 1991 to provide NISOD-member colleges with an opportunity to recognize individuals doing extraordinary work on their campuses. 加藤视频 faculty, students and staff nominate fellow professors and staff for this award based on teaching and learning practices that encourage student achievement.
鈥淒r. Swanson has the ability to take the most difficult concepts and explain them in such a way that they are easily comprehendible,鈥� said 加藤视频 student Jessica Gibbard. 鈥淗e is well organized, available when we need him, and passionate about what he does. I think any student would be lucky to have Dr. Swanson as a professor.鈥�

The winners will be recognized during NISOD鈥檚 International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence this May.
