Florida SouthWestern State College Hosts Annual “Family Math Night”

FEBRUARY 12, 2016 – FORT MYERS, FLA. –The Florida SouthWestern State College (Ƶ) School of Education will host “Family Math Night” on Monday, March 14, 5:45-7:30 p.m., at The Heights Foundation, 15570 Hagie Drive, Fort Myers. Students in Kindergarten through the fifth grade are encouraged to attend this free family-oriented event centered on math games.
“Many parents get stuck in a homework rut with their children,” said Mary Robertson, Ƶ Professor of Mathematics Education. “This event is designed to give parents and their children fun ways to teach and learn mathematical concepts.”
Attending families will play games created by Ƶ School of Education teacher candidates. This free event is open to the public. Students are encouraged to register at familymathnight@fsw.edu.
