加藤视频's Whitmer Speaker for Medical Practices Workshop

Florida SouthWestern State College鈥檚 (加藤视频) School of Health Professions professor Elizabeth Whitmer was the speaker for an ICD-10 CM workshop for medical practices in the southwest Florida community. The August 11 workshop, held on 加藤视频鈥檚 Thomas Edison (Lee) campus in Fort Myers, was sponsored by Radiology Regional Center. Whitmer, a faculty member for the Health Information Technology Program at 加藤视频, is also a Certified ICD-10 CM/PCS Trainer/Ambassador.

The workshop covered the new ICD-10 Clinical Modification (CM) classification system. Participants learned about the organizational and structural changes in ICD-10 CM as well as the features, conventions and guidelines. General Equivalence Mapping and case examples were discussed.
