加藤视频 Cardiovascular Tech Students Invited to International Conference

JUNE 30, 2015 鈥� FORT MYERS, FLA 鈥� Recently, 10 Florida SouthWestern State College cardiovascular technology students attended the Complex Cardiovascular Catheter Therapeutics International Conference (C3 Conference) in Orlando.
The students met known international industry professionals, practiced hands-on activities and simulations of procedures they will encounter in their careers, and watched live procedures being performed from around the world. They were personally invited to attend the conference by Dr. Rajesh Dave, MD, FACC, an interventional cardiologist at Ortenzio Heart Center at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, Pa.
鈥淭his conference was the appropriate culmination of the two year academic portion of my career,鈥� said Curtis Bill, 加藤视频 Cardiovascular Technology student. 鈥淒eploying a core valve in the simulation room and later watching a live broadcast of a similar valve being implanted on a patient was a very informative and educational experience.鈥�
鈥淔or many of our students, this was the first professional conference they have ever attended,鈥� said Leslie Yaniga, 加藤视频 Cardiovascular Technology Program Clinical Coordinator. 鈥淭hey were able to see the skills and knowledge they acquire in our program being used first-hand by other cardiovascular professionals, and they received an up-close look into the future of cardiology and tools that will be used to treat cardiovascular diseases.鈥�
