Florida SouthWestern State College Writing Contest Winners Named

Florida SouthWestern State College (加藤视频) Charlotte campus announced that four students won the annual Serendipity Writing Contest. This year, there were nearly 60 entries.聽 This contest is supported by Drs. Margaret and Rene Desjardins who champion and promote creative writing on the Charlotte campus of Florida Southwestern State College.
鈥淲e are very proud of our students, and we recognize the skills and talents on our campus,鈥 said Natala Orobello, 加藤视频 professor.聽 鈥淚 look forward to this event and enjoy coordinating it for the campus.聽 The entries this year were excellent, and it was a tough decision to select winners. We hope to continue this tradition for many years to come!鈥
Each of the four recipients read their entry to attendees before enjoying a reception.聽 The poem category recipients include:聽 Ana Gregoria in first place for her poem, 鈥淵outh From Hawara,鈥 and Won Jaegal in second place for her poem, 鈥淭he Bird on Our Front Yard,鈥 聽Winners for the short story category were Lee Ann Hartiman鈥檚, 鈥淭he Boy and His Compass鈥 in first place and Courtney Clouser鈥檚,聽 鈥淛ust Another Day in Paradise鈥 in second place.
Florida SouthWestern State College is Southwest Florida鈥檚 largest and one of the most affordable institutions of higher education.
