The Associate in Science (AS) in Business Administration and Management prepares students for careers across a wide range of industries, including retail, service, government, insurance, and manufacturing. This versatile degree also provides a solid foundation for students interested in starting or managing a small business.Â

Careers
The A.S. in Business Administration prepares students for roles such as:Â
- Business Supervisor/Manager
- Retail Manager
- Insurance Agent (with Risk Management concentration)
- Customer Service Representative
- Small Business Owner
- Administrative or Office Manager
- Marketing or Sales Associate
Students completing the Risk Management track are eligible to receive up to three Florida insurance licenses without taking state exams:Â
- 4-40 Resident Customer Service Representative
- 20-40 Resident Personal Lines Agent
- 2-15 Resident Life and Health Agent

Program Information
Duration: The AS in Business Administration consists of 60 credit hours and can be completed in 2 years with full-time enrollment. The program is designed for both full-time and part-time students. Courses are offered in online and traditional formats to accommodate students’ varying schedules and learning preferences.Â
Curriculum: The AS in Business Administration program includes courses in Financial Accounting, Business Law, Ethics in Management, Marketing, and more. Specific Concentration courses include Small Business Management, Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Business and Property Insurance, and more.

Once accepted, you will be assigned an advisor who will help you register.    If you are interested in the AS in Business Administration, you can apply directly to the program. You can also apply to the Associate in Arts degree in General Studies and speak with your advisor about incorporating business administration courses into your studies.
